There's nothing better to battle the winter blues than color. (and, of course, the smell of fresh paint.) A lot of people are afraid of bold colors, especially when painting walls. Don't be! If you don't like it, just paint over it. You can also buy sample size cans of paint to try a large color swatch on the wall, which is great when you're having a hard time choosing between colors. If you're not quite ready to make the commitment, add some bold accent pillows to a bland couch or a new lampshade to a dated lamp.
TIP: Some dark colors might require a tinted primer or several coats. Ask the associate at the paint store if they would recommend adding tint to the primer.
TIP: Orange and red can stimulate the appetite, so if you're on a diet, keep those colors out of the kitchen!
This fun mixer also comes in a chocolate brown... yum!
