MoMa via the Subway

Leave it to MoMa to come up with a brilliant campaign that replaces all the ads in a Brooklyn subway station with reproductions of modern art pieces from their permanent collection. (Think Monet, Van Gogh, and Picasso.) They turned the grimy Atlantic Avenue/Pacific Street station into an interactive art exhibit complete with maps, directories, and an audio tour you can download from the campaign website. I love the idea of bringing art history to people who would otherwise never experience it. You go Mo!

Great idea! I bet it cheers up the subway. The London Underground could do with a big dose of beautiful artwork!
