Cheap Cheap Accent

Now that my home office is snazzy, my bedroom is starting to feel unfinished. One of my favorite pieces is a pair of mercury glass lamps I got from Target. I've had them for about a year now and the plain white lampshades just aren't cutting it anymore. I decided new lampshades weren't really in the budget (after springing for the $3,000 wedding dress...) but some $2 ribbon was! I played with positioning using ordinary scotch tape and then tacked it down at the end using a dab of hot glue. Instant style and only about 2 bucks. :)
