More than just a pretty face

I love the simple look of a black and white silhouette. I'm not just talking about a framed rapid scissor-cut bust length portrait of Little Susie. If you frame a traditional paper silhouette, do it in a fabulously elaborate frame or with a colored background.

For a less expensive framing option, paint the silhouette of an antique frame in a bold color behind a real framed picture.
I also found these fun plates by Pop Ink.
I think silhouette wallpaper would look great in a powder room. This oval pattern is from Osborne & Little. You could also use a stencil and some painter's tape. Powder rooms are like small jewel boxes, the perfect place to go a little overboard.
So as long as you don't use the wallpaper, framed pictures, and plates all in one room... it's a great look.
