I {heart} Letterpress

There is something about the texture of letterpress that just radiates elegance and good taste. My favorite line of letterpress stationary (and where I'm ordering my wedding invitations) is New York based, Smock. Their design is elegant yet playful, and expertly printed on eco-friendly bamboo paper. The single faced cards can be backed with a number of patterns, prints, and colors that compliment the design on the front. (They even make wrapping paper in the gorgeous prints.) So without further ado, some Tuesday eye candy.

For the Love of Paper

I love stationary. Letterpress or flat. Classic or modern. I love it all. But like most Dallas girls, I have expensive taste. On my wish list... custom Kate Spade letterpress social stationary. And it's been proven that letterpress business cards win more free lunches... I also think stationary makes a great gift. But before you break the bank giving out custom letterpress, think about making it yourself. You can download free fonts on the internet and then just buy some card stock. If you're not a fan of plain white, you could also buy fancy envelopes to match. I did this for Christmas presents this past year. I designed mine in Photoshop but you could also use any word processing software. Here are just a few...

The engagement party invitations I wanted were close to $15 each, so I designed them myself for closer to 15 cents. I did the same with the Save the Date cards. But those haven't gone out yet so I'm going to leave you hanging. :) Here is the engagement party invite (quite obviously censored.)
